Dr. Kimberly Madison, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, WCC, is a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and visionary leader in dermatology nursing education, research, and entrepreneurship. With over 15 years of experience and advanced training in biology and biomedical engineering, she brings a unique lens to the evolving healthcare landscape. She is an Ambassador for TechNurses Africa and a proud member of the Black AI Think Tank, actively shaping how nurse practitioners understand and utilize AI and Augmented Reality, from ideation to implementation and investor relations. A selected participant in the Harvard Business School Foundry Mindset Bootcamp (2026), Dr. Madison continues to sharpen the entrepreneurial infrastructure behind her mission.

‍Nursing school ignores skin of color. Most dermatology training overlooks entrepreneurship. Most cosmetics training doesn’t care about nursing experience. Dr. Madison's methodology addresses all three, because she's lived all three. The Alliance of Cosmetic Nurse Practitioners™Dr. Madison leads the Alliance of Cosmetic Nurse Practitioners™ (ACNP), a professional membership coaching community helping nurse and nurse entrepreneurs make more money without seeing more patients.

‍Financial Literacy Leadership: A Signature Differentiator
‍Dr. Madison recognized a critical gap: Cosmetic NPs are making $500K-$2M+ annually but don't understand investment, wealth-building, or capital deployment. Many go bankrupt within 2-3 years despite strong revenue, not from lack of clinical skill, but from lack of financial foundation. In 2025-2026, Dr. Madison launched the Financial Intimacy for Founders 6-week intensive series and the Cosmetic NP Financial Literacy E-book Series, four quarterly ebooks addressing money mindset, business structure, investment strategies, and legacy planning. Her thesis: "Nurses are investors, and we are investable." She teaches NP entrepreneurs to think like capital holders, not just service providers, positioning them to invest in each other's businesses rather than waiting for venture capital.

‍The Fibroid-Keloid-CCCA Research Initiative: Groundbreaking Work in Nursing
‍Dr. Madison leads a pioneering research collaboration examining shared molecular pathways between three fibrotic disorders disproportionately affecting Black women: uterine fibroids, keloid scarring, and Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA). The research team, Dr. Kimberly Madison, Dr. Mariam Rabiu, DNP (CHROMA Atelier), Thérèse Wilson-Rawlins (Jax Labs Natural, Toronto, Canada), and Ni-Ka Ford (Certified Medical Illustrator with Enlight Visuals), investigates how agri-derived bioactives and AI-driven molecular modeling can inform anti-fibrotic therapeutics. Their work bridges clinical dermatology, translational science, and health equity advocacy.

‍Recent Milestone: The team's abstract, "Harnessing Agri-Derived Bioactives for Anti-Fibrotic Therapeutics: A Translational Framework Bridging AI-Driven Molecular Modeling and Clinical Dermatology," was accepted for oral presentation at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Spring 2026 National Meeting in Atlanta, a significant achievement positioning nurse-led research at the forefront of translational science. The initiative represents a first-of-its-kind collaboration: nurse practitioners, laboratory scientists, and medical illustrators working together to address conditions that have been historically under-researched and underserved.
